It is important that you read and follow these directions on how to use the AndroGel Pump properly. Before using the pump for the first time, you must prime the AndroGel pump by fully depressing the pump three times and discarding the gel. The unused gel should be discarded in a manner to avoid accidental exposure or ingestion by household members or pets. Fully depress the pump the appropriate number of times to deliver the daily dose prescribed by your healthcare provider. The product may be delivered directly into the palm of your hand and then applied to the desired application sites, either one pump depression at a time or upon completion of all pump depressions required for the daily dose.

Dexamethasone (DXM) has been used to reduce clinical and/or biological hyperandrogenism in 18 adolescent patients treated by hydrocortisone and fludrocortisone for congenital virilizing adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). The doses and duration of treatment did vary among these patients. Androgen excess has been suppressed in all cases, even treated with low doses. Side-effects have been noticed in 9 patients, 5 having large purple striae, and 4 having mild and transient hypercortisolism. The analysis of data shows that DXM may be used for the treatment of CAH in pubertal patients provided that its use remains limited to cases in which the usual treatment does not allow to avoid the androgen excess. In such patients, the dose of DXM at the onset of treatment should be mg given once a day, at night, and should not exceed mg daily; it has to be adjusted according to clinical results, avoiding to obtain subnormal androgen levels. Hydrocortisone and/or fludrocortisone have to be prescribed for short periods in situations of stress, but not as permanent association. Within these limits, DXM may be considered as a valuable means to obtain hormonal adjustment in CAH adolescent patients.

In girls, it is perfectly natural to have a slight sweet smell from the vagina that is inoffensive. A strong, foul odor indicates a possible infection. With treatment, the infection goes away and so does the strong odor. Vaginal discharge is a necessary part of the body's regular functioning. Normal discharge, usually clear to white, is part of the body's self-cleaning process. As discharge leaves the body, it takes bacteria with it, which helps prevent vaginal infections. Parents should stress that girls clean the vaginal area with a mild soap and water

The following agents or drugs or medications increase or hasten the bio degradation of Loette contraceptive pill in the body, thereby reducing its contraceptive efficacy and increase the risk of pregnancy:
These include:-Ritonavir, Rifampicin, Rifabutin, Barbiturates, Primidone, Phenylbutazone, Phenytoin, Dexamethasone, Griseofulvin, Modafinil, Topiramate, Certain Antibiotics Like Ampicillin and Tetracycline, St. John's wort On the other hand, drugs that increase the concentrations of Loette in the blood and thereby predispose to higher side effect profiles include Atorvastatin, vitamin C, Acetaminophen, Indinavir and Fluconazole among others.

The manufacturers of certain testosterone products (., AndroGel and Striant) state that their products are contraindicated in patients with soybean, soy, or soya lecithin hypersensitivity because they are derived partially from soy plants. There is a risk of serious hypersensitivity reactions or anaphylaxis with the use of testosterone undecanoate (Aveed) oil for injection. These allergic reactions can occur after any injection of testosterone undecanoate during the course of therapy, including after the first dose. Observe patients in the healthcare setting for 30 minutes after an Aveed injection in order to provide appropriate medical treatment in the event of serious hypersensitivity reactions or anaphylaxis. The Aveed injection contains benzyl benzoate, the ester of benzyl alcohol and benzoic acid, and refined castor oil. Therefore, testosterone undecanoate use is contraindicated in patients with polyoxyethylated castor oil hypersensitivity, benzoic acid hypersensitivity, or benzyl alcohol hypersensitivity. Patients with suspected hypersensitivity reactions should not be re-treated with testosterone undecanoate injection.
